Pati Patni Aur Woh, which hit the screens on December 6, earned a total collection of Rs 59.02 crore at the box office.
Pati Patni Aur Woh, starring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday, released on December 6. It clashed with Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat at the box office. But unlike the latter, Pati Patni Aur Woh earned decent numbers at the box office since its opening day.
As the Mudassar Aziz-directed film has now entered in the second week, Pati Patni Aur Woh made Rs 3.05 crore at the box office on December 13. Its total collection at the moment amounts to Rs 59.02 crore.
On Day 1 (Friday), Pati Patni Aur Woh earned Rs 9.1 crore, which was Rs 4.98 crore more than that of Panipat’s first-day collection. Pati Patni Aur Woh witnessed a massive growth in its collections over the weekend at the ticket windows, as it made Rs 12.33 crore on Day 2 (Saturday) and Rs 14.51 crore on Day 3 (Sunday) respectively.
However, the earnings of Mudassar’s directorial dropped down to Rs 5.7 crore on Monday, followed by Rs 5.35 crore on Tuesday, Rs 4.62 crore on Wednesday and Rs 4.36 crore on Thursday.
Pati Patni Aur Woh now “expects strong results” in its second weekend, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Sanjay Dutt’s Panipat struggled at the box office in its first week. So far, the film has not even able to earn Rs 30 crore. While both the films released on the same date, cinephiles primarily opted for Pati Patni Aur Woh.
As far as Pati Patni Aur Woh is concerned, this is for the first time that Kartik has been paired opposite Bhumi and Ananya. The film also stars Aparshakti Khurana as Kartik’s friend.
While Kartik plays Abhinav aka Chintu Tyagi – the Pati, Bhumi essays the role of his wife Vedika Tripathi- the Patni. Ananya, the Woh, is seen as Tapasya Singh. Aparshakti plays Chintu’s best friend, Fahim Rizvi.
From December 13, Pati Patni Aur Woh is also competing with Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 2 at the box office.
